thrown & altered My work responds the continuity of transformation as a mother and artist. I often reflect upon childhood experiences by using repetition of symbols and prints. This process allows time to calm my mind and focus on patience, joy and euphoria. Creating and exploring with soft clay remedies my mind of the disarray of emotion I often feel.
My work is created for purpose and positivity using symbols, texture, contrast and line work. In order to achieve this intricate style of work I throw, push and alter the clay to create an elevated and balanced design. This functional work reflects my current curiosity of connecting with my spiritual lineage and insisting on deep thought on everyday ware.
